About me

Neil is a VDI, virtualisation & server-based computing consultant with over twenty years experience in the industry. He’s worked with Citrix products since the early days of Winframe and Metaframe and was instrumental in the initial deployments of these server-based computing technologies into a number of large financial institutions and the continued development and expansion of those into the enterprise environment. Neil is a Citrix Technology Professional having been awarded the status in 2013.

Often interviewed by press and analysts, Neil is TOGAF certified Enterprise Architect whilst specialising on Citrix and Microsoft technologies to give a balanced view of the virtualisation marketplace. He is a recognised SME by Citrix having contributed to the XenApp 6, 6.5 CCA, CCAA and CCEE exams, and XenDesktop 7 & 7.5 Design exam and is a RES Software Valued Professional (RSVP).

Neil has recently completed several large XenApp projects using HPE Moonshot technology, and is now a recognised SME on the platform.

Neil is an active member of the Citrix community in the UK, travelling around Europe to both present and attend E2E/PubForum events, iForum/Synergy and is on the steering groups of the UK Citrix user group and global CUGC organisation.

Neil is a STEM Ambassador and ran a successful CodeClub in a local primary school with an ambition to inspire and encourage children to take up a career in ICT and learn to code. He’s also an adviser to the CUGC Women In Techology initiative.

Neil lives in Surrey, England with his wife Ina and ten-year old daughter Zoë
